Who I am
My name is Alessandra Di Mauro, and I am a licensed Archaeologist and Tourist Guide for the Region of Puglia and the city of Matera. I chose to become a tour guide to express my deep and authentic connection with this land rich in history and beauty.
Ever since I was a child, I have cultivated a passion for exploring small towns and large Italian cities, thanks to the many trips I undertook with my family.
On school trips, I was always in the front row, fascinated by the stories the guides told in front of palaces, frescoes and paintings, which to my eyes appeared grand and amazing.
This wonder and passion for art and history have accompanied me throughout my life.
In order to deepen these passions of mine, I pursued a degree in Cultural Heritage with a focus on archaeology.
Later, eager to turn this love of culture into a profession, I obtained my license as a tour guide.

Je pense qu’on n’aurait pas pu avoir une meilleure guide qu’Alessandra. Pédagogue, passionnante, extrêmement professionnelle, j’ai été impressionnée de son savoir. Nous avions des bébés avec nous qui nous empêchaient de suivre complètement. Elle ne s’est pas montrée perturbée par cela et a continué la visite avec beaucoup de bienveillance. Nous avons réalisé la visite de Lecce et Matera avec Alessandra.
