Beginning of the visit

My guided tours in Bari will focus on the historic center, a place rich in history and culture where different dominations have left their mark.
We will begin our tour from Piazza Federico II of Swabia, where Bari Castle will welcome us with its grandeur, located near the Adriatic coast.

Bari Castle and Orecchiette Street

Near the castle, we will walk the famous “orecchiette street,” where every day the women of Bari Vecchia knead flour and water creating the famous handmade orecchiette, true culinary works of art.

Cathedral of San Sabino

We will continue with a visit to the Cathedral of San Sabino, located in Odegitria Square.
This cathedral, with its Apulian Romanesque style, is a masterpiece of architecture and spirituality, and I will tell you about its history and special features.

Basilica of St. Nicholas

The next stop will be the Basilica of St. Nicholas, one of the most significant places in Bari.
We will visit the crypt that holds the saint’s relics, a place of great devotion and historical importance.

Historic squares

Our route will continue through the city’s main squares, including Piazza Mercantile, where we will admire the Column of Justice, and Piazza del Ferrarese, where the remains of a Roman road are located, offering a glimpse into the city’s ancient history.

Barese Gastronomy

During the visit, we will also talk about Bari’s gastronomy, which is famous for street food.
We will taste Bari focaccia, popizze (savory pancakes) and raw fish, including shellfish and allievi (small squid).
These authentic flavors will allow you to learn more about Bari’s culinary culture.
